Tips

  • If you're new to Kik and haven't set your profile picture yet, you'll see a banner at the top of every chat reminding you to update your picture. Tap on the banner to be taken to the Settings screen so you can choose a profile picture.
  • If you're using an iPod or iPhone, you'll need to give Kik permission to access your photos. Check out How do I give Kik access to my photos?
  • Depending on which Symbian phone you're using, you may only be able to take pictures with your camera. You might not be able to choose a picture from your gallery. Check out Why can't I send pictures from my gallery?
  • If your Kindle Fire device doesn't have a camera, you'll only see the option of choosing an existing picture from your gallery.
  • As of May 13, 2014, you won't be able to download Kik on your BlackBerry or Symbian phone. We've posted more information about this here.
